What is a prop bet?

A prop (or proposition) bet is a type of side wager on parts of a game or event that may have nothing to do with the final outcome. Examples of popular prop bets range from picking the first player to record a basket in an NBA game to the length of the national anthem at the Super Bowl.

What is a cash out?

A Cash Out, otherwise known as a Buy Out, is a feature that allows sports bettors the ability to settle a bet — and accept a payout less than the full potential win — before the competition ends.

What is a sportsbook?

A sportsbook or a race and sports book (sometimes abbreviated as book) is a place where a gambler can wager on various sports competitions, including golf, football, basketball, baseball, ice hockey, soccer, boxing, and mixed martial arts.

How does sports predictions work?

Try and expand your search by checking when the teams concede goals, when they score goals, the number of shots they take, and the number of fouls they commit. The more information you can get about a game, the better your chances of accurately predicting the outcome

What is a parlay?

A parlay in sports betting is when a bettor makes multiple wagers (at least two) and ties them into the same bet. If any bets in the parlay lose, then the entire parlay loses. However, if all wagers win, the bettor gets a bigger payout.

What is a same-game parlay?

A same game parlay is simply betting on multiple outcomes from a single game or contest. When bets are combined into a parlay, the wager wins if all of the “legs” (each individual wager in a parlay) are successful. If any of the legs lose, the entire parlay is a loss.

What are units?

Calculating potential earnings by betting units won is simple. Simply multiply the dollar amount you typically wager by the units won. A unit represents the money amount placed when betting, with this amount remaining constant on each bet. The idea behind the term is to allow bettors to discuss how much they are risking when betting on a certain event, without the need to disclose exactly how much money is being wagered.
